The Snap and Prime is used after you refill the printer cartridge. Sometimes the HP 1823, 6578, 6625, 3844 and 3845 style cartridges have trouble with all three colors of ink getting all the way to the printhead after refilling. Using the Snap and Prime will prime all three colors to the printhead in one quick step. On the inside of the Snap and Prime cartridge clip, there is a hole. After refilling the cartridge, snap the cartridge into the clip with the printhead at the end with the hole. Attach the syringe to the connector and finger tighten so it is snug. Then give the syringe a gentle pull to extract a small amount of ink out of the cartridge. Just extract out less than a teaspoon. Unsnap the cartridge out of the clip and dab the printhead with a soft Kleenex tissue and rinse the Snap and Prime with hot water. Insert and test the cartridge in the printer.
